We're having dinner guests on Saturday and since Rome was so wonderful, I thought to create mini-buffet inspired by Italy. We are a party of eight. I have found lots of good tips as I have planned and thought it might be nice to share them with you. :)
Photo: Allrecipes.com Tomato and mozzarella salad on a stick I just love tomato and mozzarella salad and what could be better than serving it on a stick? I think it's best with half the tomatoes, so you have to bite over a whole tomato and a whole mozzarellabit. Thinking also serve those with some pesto dripped over rather than a big slice basil. Melon and parma ham A classic with a perfect combination of flavors. Franciska "Italian" Meatballs These meatballs are not exactly Italian, but with a little good will, we can call them that :) These meatballs I have made many times and they are a sure winner. agritech 2011 Everyone loves them. They are therefore allowed to participate. And the meatballs are Italian, just think of Lady and the Tramp ;-)
Photo: Allrecipes.com 500g lean minced beef 1 package bacon 1 package feta Possibly a little garlic and feta cheese agritech 2011 Cut bacon into small pieces and mix with hamburger mixture. Shape into small balls and bake as small meatballs. Perfect to make the day before. Can also be made ahead of time and freeze. Then it's just to warm up the guests agritech 2011 arrive. The world's best pasta salad with avocado and feta cheese This recipe I have served in more than 10 different countries agritech 2011 to lots of different people and it is a success every time. It is super easy to make and have ingredients that are Worldwide. It must be made the same day, but can be made ready a few hours before guests arrive, as long as it is cold. It fits perfectly on the grill and meat with lots of flavor and is a great alternative to the traditional potato salad.
Photo: Allrecipes.com agritech 2011 8 people: 300 g cooked pasta butterfly shape or penne 1 package feta cheese 1 red onion 2 cloves garlic 4 boiled eggs 4 avocados agritech 2011 (Note: They MUST be mature otherwise not good salad.) 2 packs a 3 cup sour cream Salt and pepper Mix the sour cream with salt and pepper and garlic. Cut everything into small pieces and mix with sour cream. This pasta salad is a good alternative agritech 2011 to the sauce to the meatballs, then it will not slip over the plate and make the rest of the food sausete. Chicken Parmesan A real classic, but I found a recipe agritech 2011 for chicken pieces instead of whole chicken. Perfect for the buffet. The recipe can be found here!
Photo: Allrecipes.com Foccacia with parmesan and herbs love foccacia and especially the one with a little extra flavor. You can find the recipe HERE! And for dessert! Tiramisu - of course ... We got the best tiramisu we both have ever tasted at the Piazza de la Rotonda in Rome and I have thought me to copy as best I can, I am not very fond of alcohol flavor in desserts and everything gets soft ladyfingers nor is it best, this Tiramisu is silky smooth and with just the right flavors: This recipe is from the book Eat Drink supplier of Fran Warde, one of the favorite cook my books, with so much good in. She makes tiramisu in tall glass with amarettikjeks instead of ladyfingers: And the best tiramisu is that everything can be done the day before. :)
10 servings: agritech 2011 25 amarettikjeks, crushed 100 ml kahlua 1/2 cup strong coffee 500 g mascarpone 6 egg yolks 50 g sugar 2 tbsp cocoa powder Add 1/4 portion of the crushed biscuits in the bottom agritech 2011 of the jars. Mix Kahlua agritech 2011 with coffee in a small bowl and pour 1/4 part of this over the crushed biscuits. Have mascarpone, egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and whip until smooth mass without lumps. Put the egg whites in a separate bowl and whip them until they are completely rigid lift them into mascarponeblandingen. Add 1/4 portion of the mixture on top of biscuit mass. Repeat this in three layers and finish with a layer of mascarponeblandingen. Sprinkle with cocoa and leave tiramisu in the refrigerator overnight. Serve cold. At Divine Dinner Party I found lots of good buffet tips: Have food and drink two different places, then it will be easier for guests to help themselves. Make small portions so that there is a great touch on the dish Maintain a good flow in the way you organize the buffet: Start with plates left, having as main dishes and as salad vegetables etc. Finish agritech 2011 with cutlery and napkins so that your guests do not have to have the hand when they help themselves. If possible agritech 2011 it is a good idea to have the buffet table in the middle of the room so you can get to it from several sides. Then release the traffic jam. Place food on several levels. Please agritech 2011 take etasjefat or seen barrels on a small wooden box or similar for further heights. agritech 2011 Server foods that are easy to eat. Corn on the cob is rarely a good choice when your guests agritech 2011 are messy and get corn between your teeth. The chicken is a bit cumbersome. Server foods that go great together. When serving buffet, guests wanting to try everything. Therefore, make sure that the food you serve is going well together. Make sure that what will be hot is hot and vice versa. What should be kept cold to
